Fisher Price House Party!

I was thrilled to get chosen to host the Fisher Price Playdate sponsored by House Party!  I had hosted in the past but never a toy playdate so I couldn't wait for my party pack to come.  I was floored to come home from Disney with this huge box filled with goodies that we got to keep!

Dance Classes!

The very first recital we brought the kids to was the Make A Wish benefit when they were not quite 3 months old.  Since then we have gone to many recitals and competitions and the kids have loved watching their big friends up on stage.  Since May when Dance Images held their annual recital the foursome have been talking about taking dance so now that our Disney vacation is over my Scentsy commision is going towards paying for their dance classes and the costumes that they will need for their very first recital.

Last week was their first week and I was surprised how well it went.  I figured at least one or two wouldn't actually do it but they all went in and participated until the door opened for the kids to come get a drink then Matthew came out crying.  I finally got him back in and quietly snuck out the door and her finished out the class.  Aubrey was very upset at the end of class and told me she couldn't go back until she had a "dance dress" like the other girls in her class.  I wasn't sure what they were supposed to wear so I just put all four of them in comfy pants and tees...obviously this wasn't the proper attire for the dancing princess!  So we found her a dance dress and she was ready to go back this week.

They all went in great and I was so happy until about 10 minutes in I heard Matthew crying and he came running out.  I finally talked him into going back in and joining as long as I sat in there with him but that made Aubrey refuse to participate.  UGH...hopefully three is the magic number and they will all stay in and learn some new moves!

3 year photo shoot!

We loved the family pictures that England Photography did in the spring and I knew that we definitely wanted to use them again for our 3 year photographs.  They definitely did not disappoint!  Now the tough part is deciding which ones we want to frame!

4 Generations!

While we were at Disney we were able to have my Grandparents come up to meet the quads.  I haven't seen them since my graduation 17 years ago so it was great to see them and get some pictures!

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom!

We spent the last ful day of our vacation at Animal Kingdom.  All four of my kids are big on the outdoors and animals so this place was probably one of the best places that we visited.  I was amazed at all the animals that the kids were able to name on the Jungle Safari Jeep ride because I wouldn't have known them all if it weren't for them telling me...like the Kudu...

I did know the lions, zebras, elephants and rhinos

Hanging out in the petting zoo...they loved to try to catch the animals.  Matthew kept us all laughing how he would sneak up on them, give them a quick pat then run away like he was afraid of them!

Aubrey and Brady decided to take a quick snooze before heading to the parade so Matthew, Cameron and I decided to go vist Pochantas, King Louie and Baloo!

With a few minutes to spare before the parade we went and played in the sand pit at the fossil dig.  Even Aubrey rode down the big slides!

Lastly we went to the Mickey Jungle Jamboree Parade and got to see Chip and Dale!  Dale is a very good friend of our cousin Courtney so the kids got a little special attention!

There were some pretty cute animals there but none as cute as my four little monkeys!

We headed down to Downtown Disney for dinner and to check out the scenery.  Dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe was great and the kids insisted on riding the train and carousel before leaving for the night.  What a action packed week we had but I am so glad we had the opportunity to celebrate the quads third birthday in style!

Day 4 - Magic Kingdom!

The day I had been waiting for all week...I couldn't wait to go to Magic Kingdom!  The kids were thrilled that there were a lot of rides there and we set out with tips from the Disney guide to do all that was on the list for toddlers. We were able to go an hour earlier because of Magic Hours but we soon found that a lot wasn't really open until the normal opening time so we mostly walked around and got some pictures taken in front of the Castle before heading to breakfast with Pooh and friends.

Our shirts for the day were handmade by my friend Karen of First Firefly.  They say "The Hickey House meets Mickey Mouse" and include all our names!

They found a little something to cool off in...too bad mom didn't bring extra shirts and we ended up buying some in the gift shop.

Aubrey decided she wanted to spend some of her birthday money on a Tinkerbell outfit then decided she just had to wear it aroud the park for the rest of the day.

It was a 45 minute wait to see Tinkerbell and Periwinkle but Cameron and Aubrey were certain that they couldn't possibly leave the Magic Kingdom without meeting them!  Brady and Matthew slept like champs in the stroller so they missed it.

Waiting for the fairies meant we had to run to the monorail in order to make it to our dinner reservations in time at Chef Mickey's over at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  We made it just in time! They thought it was pretty awesome that Goofy sat down with us!
