Lucky ducks!

Lucky Ducks was far easier to teach them than Hungry Hungry Hippos. They are big into matching right now so it is fun for them. The hardest part was waiting their own turn when one of their siblings had picked up the duck they needed. Surprisingly they were really good at remembering where their duck had been put down and followed it around the game board until it was their turn.

Hungry Hungy Hippos!

Amazon was having a BOGO sale on games the other day so I took advantage of it and got the kiddos two of my favorites....Hungry Hungry Hippos and Lucky Ducks. Today was a rainy, hangout at home kind of day so after watching Toy Story I cracked open a new game and after showing them SEVERAL times how it worked they finally got it and had a blast playing it. Brady kept getting upset that he didn't have any balls at the end of the game when I finally realized everytime he got one he put it back up on the board. Crazy kid! I haven't taught them the concept of counting the balls to determine the winner yet because I just don't want to listen to them fighting over who lost and who won just yet but I am sure they will figure that out soon enough but for now it is just a fun game that keeps them busy for a little while!

Kitchen makeover!

Ever since we moved into this house in 2004 I have wanted to do something with the kitchen. The floors were a horrible black and white checkerboard and NEVER looked clean even after they were freshly mopped.

When we had the new windows and door installed it was the perfect excuse to give the whole room a fresh coat of paint and OOPS! someone was a sloppy painter and "accidentally" got paint all over the floor so it had to be replaced. :)

While we were on the kitchen project Ben decided to work with a friend of his at building us a table that we call all fit at! For the past year we have either all had to sit at the little kids table or have the kids sit in the big chairs at the big table while Ben and I used the kiddie chairs as seat. Finally those days are over!

Now there's 2 Aubreys!

Tonight when Aubrey was getting into bed she told Ben not to forget Abby's baby. Their conversation went like this:
Ben: "Abby has a baby now too?"
Aubrey: "Yeah! This little one!"
Ben: "Oh, does she have a name?"
Aubrey: "Abby calls her Aubrey...now there's two Aubreys!"

Crazy girl!

Loving the warm weather!

This winter has been so odd for the area we live in! The past weeks we have been able to play outside with just light jackets on most afternoons and this weekend was amazingly warm. We were able to go out for a walk yesterday afternoon in just sweatshirts. The kids think they are big now and are not really fans of riding in the choo choo wagon and don't fit well in the quad stroller anymore so we did let them walk most of the time yesterday. We took the wagon in case they wanted to ride but they were happier walking...yet another sign that they are becoming big kids!

Cameron went to Concord for the day with the St. Cyrs to see Lauryn's dance competition and the other three went with me to Evan's pinewood derby which we were very excited to see him place 1st in best crafted car! Way to go Evan! Then they had sleepover party with two of their cousins, Evan and Aidan, Saturday night and thought it meant party time having Evan sleeping in their room because they were not giving in to sleep!
