Smart Cookies

The kids are learning new things by the day. I have no idea where the little babies have gone but as Aubrey informs me "me not a baby anymore!" I do love listening to them play pretend and seeing all the things that they pick up on. We have been working on saying the ABC's, counting, spelling names and doing flash cards. We don't plan on sending them to a preschool so it is up to me to get them ready for kindergarden and I think they are off to a great start!

Matthew can spell his name "MATT" or sometimes "MATTY", he can count to 5 consecutively but knows many other numbers, he can identify 11 out of 11 colors we have been practicing, he identifies 6 out of 8 sapers, 2 out of 10 numbers and 8 out of 26 letters.

Brady can spell his name "BRADY", count to 11 consecutively then branches out to numbers of his own like three-teen, eleven-teen, and so on. He can identify 10 out of 11 colors, 6 out of 8 shapes, 3 out of 10 numbers and 8 out of 26 letters.

Aubrey tries to spell her name but hasn't quite mastered it yet. She can count to 11 consecutively then starts making up her own numbers like Brady, she can identify 10 out of 11 colors, 5 out of 8 shapes, 2 out of 10 numbers and 7 out of 26 letters.

Cameron can spell his name "CAM"...he is going to be some mad when he finds out there are more letters to spell his whole name! He count to 8 consecutively, identify 10 out of 11 colors, 6 out of 8 shapes, 2 out of 10 numbers and 7 out of 26 letters.


2.5 years to go before kindergarden so I think they are doing great! I am hoping to find out when the preschool screening is to see how they score.
