Every day the fabulous foursome's vocabulary gets better and better. They are stringing words together, singing along during circle time and even learning how to lie to keep themself out of trouble.
They love to sing songs and I have been trying to get them on video singing but as soon as I do they start telling me "NO MOMMA!" and stop singing along with me. We have been working on counting and doing our ABC's and they are all starting to get it!
Today Brady bit Matthew's cheek really hard and left some pretty nice teeth marks on him. When Ben got home he asked Matthew who bit him and Brady piped up and said "Bella bite Maa-Shoe!" Bella is Uncle Tom and Auntie Kate's dog and she most certainly did not bite any of them even though they always tell people that "Bella bite". I had to get him on video!
Ben is always breaking things, even when he hasn't broken something Matthew finds it funny to blame it all on Daddy!
I love hearing them talk to each other and to us. They are getting way too big far too quickly!

Swimming lessons!
The quads started taking swimming lessons today and they LOVE the water. I am so happy because I was always scared of the water and now I am petrified of them drowning of course. They all crawl along on their bellies "swimming" and love to splash and play under the mushroom. I will have to get some pictures of the water babies when we have some spare eyes and hands to help with the little ones. They are not allowed to wear their puddle jumpers there because apparently the staff feels that they are unsafe even though they are coast guard approved. I guess it is safer to have babies in the pool where lifeguards are more interested in chatting with each other and not watching the kids. Whatever!

Stunt riders!
We had bought the quaddlers Power Wheel 4-wheelers for their birthday last year and now that they are getting bigger we are able to ride them out in the driveway all by themselves. They all think they are stunt riders!

Brady right after he flipped it into the ditch
Cameron thinking he is big enough for a real 4-wheeler
Aubrey plotting her next move

Father's day at Santa's Village
After the fishing derby and a little nap the quaddlers and I took daddy to Santa's Village for his Father's Day gift. It was so nice to spend the afternoon just the six of us and they had a ball. They were all so excited to see everything and to ride on the rides. We got to spend 3 hours there and get a return pass for another day this season. I can't wait to spend another day there later in the summer!
The park wasn't crowded so there was no line for the rides which made it really nice with four impatient toddlers. The weather was perfect for the water park and three of them were little water babies and then we had a Chicken Little who was not really into playing in the water. It took me quite awhile to get Cameron into the water but once he did he had a blast!

Father's Day Fishing Derby 2011
Ben was so excited to bring the quads to the Annual Father's Day Fishing Derby. He always says how he waited many years to be able to bring his own kids to it and today they were able to join in on the festivities. The morning did not start out so great as the place was crowded and the kids were not at all happy to have everyone in their faces and bugging them. They all are usually fine if they have a chance to warm up somewhere but this morning they were not given the chance. Brady was so upset he just kept asking to go to the car. I was ready to pack up and go home when we took Brady to the car and let him chill out for a few minutes then he was ready to go play.
Thankfully we had lots of help fishing because I will not touch the worms or the fish. With the help of Daddy, Grandpa Brann, Uncle Tom, Uncle Kyle, Uncle Chris and Uncle Ryan they were able to collectively catch 10 fish! Matthew loved it! The other three had fun fishing but were not happy to see fish flopping around.
All and all it was a fun time and thanks to Auntie Sam we got a lot of great pictures to remember this day for years to come!
