It has been a couple weeks now since we moved the quaddlers to their own table from their high chairs and they love that they can just go over and sit in their seat to get ready for meals now. We started giving them spoons and forks when they started eating table food but for quite awhile they didn't bother using them, they would just hold it in one hand and shovel food in with the other hand, now they are really getting the hang of it. Brady has mastered the art of feeding himself and will never use his hands for something that should be picked up with a spoon, Aubrey and Matthew use their spoons most of the time with the occasional fistful when they think they can't get it fast enough and I started working with Cameron today to feed himself instead of screaming at me for a bite and he mastered it during lunch. We are so proud of our big eaters!

Finally feeling better!
The past week has not been a fun one in our home. Not only were all the quaddlers sick but some of their little buddies from day care have been sick as well. A lot of Lysol spray was used over the weekend and we are starting the week off on a better foot.
Friday Ben and I went to his hearing for his SSI appeal for the year of benefits from when he was out of work with his chemo treatments and recovery and luck was finally on our side because he WON his appeal!
After we left there we got to go meet my beautiful new niece, Ella Grace, who was born early Friday morning. She looks just like her big brother, Evan, and has so much hair!
When we got home my mom said Aubrey had been having trouble breathing and we decided to bring her to the ER. After some blood work and a chest x-ray it was determined that she has pneumonia so she ended up on some stronger antibiotics and is feeling much better now.
It was a weekend of babies! Saturday was Auntie Allison's shower for baby Aidan and Ben and I put together a cake for the celebration. Lots of frustration went into making the animals out of fondant and gum paste but they turned out ok!
Sunday Uncle Tom and Auntie Kate watched all the quaddlers while Ben and I went to BJ's to stock up on food and paper goods for the next few months, went out for lunch and hit up the outlets for some new sneakers for the babies. When we got home I asked Aubrey if she missed us and she said "Nooooooo" then I asked if she has more fun with Auntie Kate and Uncle Tom and she said "YEAH!" What a little punk!
Aubrey got weighed at the ER on Friday and Ben said she was over 20 lbs! I didn't believe it of course so we did a little weigh in tonight and sure enough she was almost 22 lbs. Matthew weighed in at 25.5 lbs, Cameron at 26.5lbs and Brady was tipping the scales at almost 30 lbs. Unbelievable!!!
It has been soooooo cold lately! I cannot wait for it to warm up some so we can play out in all this snow we have gotten!

Bye Bye High Chairs
For the past several weeks we have been having a constant battle with the babies to stay seated in their high chairs during their meals. They want to sit like big kids but they aren't quite big enough to sit up at the big table with us without taking some tumbles. And during day care there isn't enough room at the table for the four of them and the four to five day care kids we have each day so we were trying to figure it all out.
The solution to our never-ending meal time dilemma came when I received a phone call that Gorham Community Learning Center had some child size tables and chairs available for free if we would like to come over and pick up a set. We were more than happy to take them a table and 8 chairs off their hands. We cleaned it up today and it is PERFECT! The babies can sit there without us worrying that they will fall, there is enough room for all the kids to sit at breakfast and lunch time all together and the babies think that it is awesome to sit like big kids.
It was a sad moment cleaning up the high chairs and folding them up out of the way. One more thing that moves us away from babyhood. :(

Indoor playground
Our little toddlers have the coolest playroom with all sorts of fun toys, a slide, ball pit and a tent but they seem to get bored easier on the weekends when there isn't anyone to entertain them other than mommy and daddy so we try to bring out some new stuff into the living room that gets put away at the end of the day as a little treat. We put up tunnels, bring out the blocks and their block table, set up some coloring opportunities, etc. This weekend we decided to bring out their stuff we plan to put outside this spring like their Alligator Teeter Totter built just right for 4 of them that they got for their birthday from Aunt Dana and Uncle Wayne and the big slide they got for Christmas from Auntie Allison and Uncle Dan. Brady kept getting mad because the teeter totter would rest him on the ground instead of in the air so he liked it better when he rode it himself and could sit in the middle and rock it. Aubrey loved going up in the air and kicked off the ground each time. Cameron and Matthew were a little more skeptical about going up in the air. They all had a blast on the slide and played for hours on their new stuff!
Tea Party
Aubrey and I decided to have a tea party today with her little tea set she got for her birthday. She loves to pretend to pour some tea and drink it from her cup. I love seeing them use their imagination. It kills me how quickly they pick up on things! Here we are enjoying our tea...
Until the boys came and crashed the party!

Boy's First Haircuts
We took the boy's for their first haircuts today! It was time for a trim but it was sad that they were leaving another little piece of babyhood behind. Our friend Marlene did their cuts and she did a fantastic job! Matthew was not at all happy about getting his hair cut but liked the lollipop treat he got at the end. Brady wasn't too happy at first but he got used to it pretty quick. Cameron was laid back and let her just do whatever she wanted to do with his hair. Aubrey is no where near ready for a trim so she got to just relax with a lollipop! They were all very excited to have the treat and it didn't take them long to get to the center!
