Little Junk Food Connoisseurs

My kids are food snobs when it comes to junk food...I can't even trick them!

1.  Matthew will only eat Entenmann's Chocolate Chip muffins.  I have made homemade ones and put them in the Entenmann's bags and he knows the difference and refuse to eat them.

2.  Aubrey will only eat Nutra-grain brand cereal bars...she has one EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. and will not eat generic.

3. This week I bought generic pop-tarts and stuck them in the Kellog's pop-tart box each and every one of them took ONE bite out of it and asked me for regular pop-tarts.

4. Whale's instead of Goldfish...oh no that simply won't do.  Cameron said "Me no like the fat fishies.  Me like the little ones."

5. Generic Oreos...ummmmm no thanks "These are 'skusting!" Brady says.

Not looking forward to the grocery bill in ten years!

Things we love about this age:
*They can play independently while we complete short tasks.
*We can visit with friends without having to hover over them.
*The things they do and say always bring a smile to our face.
*They look up to Mommy/Daddy and want to be like us.
*No more cutting into mini sized pieces...huge time saver.
*They can undress/dress themselves.
*They can swim (with their puddle jumpers).
*They love to sing.
*They are always learning.
*They role play so well.
*They are willing to try new things.
*They express different emotions and can tell us why they feel that way.
*They can answer our questions.
*THEY ARE SOOOOOO FUN!!!!

Camping 2012

When the kids first heard Grammie Diana was getting a new "camp"(er) they wanted to go sleep in it.  She invited us to stay overnight during their weekend at Roger's Campground and the kids couldn't wait to go!  They showed off their swimming skills, played at the camper and the play ground and pretty much wore us out but they were troopers and stayed up to have a campfire, make s'mores for the first time and learn how to us "sparklies".  Even after going to bed 3 hours past bedtime they were still up by 6:30 in the morning...other than Cameron who slept in until 8!

Learning how to toast marshmellows from "Crazy Barbie"!

Day at Maidstone Lake

We decided to go play at the Lake with Aidan, Auntie Allison, Uncle Dan and Grammie Diana since the weather was supposed to be sunny and warm.  All was great on the shore until they went out on an "adventure" to the rocks and a leaf got stuck on Matthew's foot and he freaked out that something was getting him which lead to Brady screaming that the fish were biting his toes and running as fast as he could in the water to get out.  Cameron was the tough guy who hung out in the lake swimming around.  Aubrey worked on her tan in the sand.

Get over it!

This morning Matthew and Cameron were sitting on my lap and they started argueing who is bigger.  I told them they were all big and I wish they would be babies again.  Brady looks up from his trains and says "We're all big Mom!  Get over it!"  I guess they have to grow up sometime, right?

We've been FLOCKED!

Nine years ago this summer there was so much uncertainty, would Ben make it through his treatments?  Would I be able to carry all four babi...
