Last year the boys opted out of playing baseball but they regretted it once the season had started...hard lesson learned but this year they decided to get signed up. When the season started they didn't really know if they were going to love it but as they started getting familiar with the rules and they began to establish playing positions they started to develop a love for the game.
This is Aubrey's third year playing softball and she is still loving it. Watching her grow through the years has been awesome. I can't wait to see her continue polishing her skills.
Opening Day Parade!
Aubrey settled into the catcher's position pretty well this year. She also played 2nd base pretty regularly and got a chance to pitch a few innings! She also regularly made contact with the ball throughout the season!
Cameron decided to give catching a try and surprised himself when he proved to be a great catcher! He stayed focused and kept the balls in front of him most of the season. He made a couple great hits...including a double...all at games that Mom couldn't make. It became the running joke that he did that on purpose!
Brady has made his way around the infield this year and even gave catching a try a couple innings to give his brother a break. He had a couple good hits through the season and got a few players out by catching pop-flys!
Matthew played second base quite a bit this season and even gave pitching a try for a couple games! He hit the ball most of the times he was up to bat! He's definitely the one who is most into athletics and is already talking about next year.
