Like Father, Like Son

Matthew is so much like his father it kills me. He likes to purposely irritate other, thinks he is the funniest one on the planet and always has a smart remark. He is always full of it and you can just see the devil in his eyes...LOL!

25 months

Photobucket

I cannot get over how these teeny tiny babies turned into these big kids in what seems like overnight. I love the way they interact and play with each other. The big thing right now is when one of them goes on the potty the others high five, fist pump, do the potty dance for them. It is so funny!

Potty training is going fabulous! Today we only had 2 accidents and one of them was while Matthew was in time out. I think it was his way of paying me back for making him go in time out! Aubrey has definitely figured out that her claims of needing to pee can prolong bedtime. Little stinker!

The kids all have "their spots" on the furniture and no one, I mean NO ONE, can sit there! They are famous for the say "no more room" when there are 3 on the loveseat and the 4th wants to climb up. They just spread out a little so they can ensure that the 4th doesn't get up there.

Time can stop any time!

Potty Training Success????

The advice I have for anyone doing the 3 day potty training method is DO NOT give up on day 2! I was ready to throw in the towel after two horrible days of potty training but we stuck it out and day 3 was like magic! They just got it! Today was great. Only 4 or 5 accidents between the four of them and they even managed to go pee in the potty as well. We are so proud of them! Let's just hope this continues!

Yay! I DID IT!

Potty Training Update

Today was supposed to be Day 1 of the 3 Day Potty Training Method but they decided to use the past two days as practice runs. I have to tell you by last night I was starting to rethink the whole potty training thing and figured if today didn't go well I would chalk it up to them not being ready and put it off for awhile then today went awesome!

The score of the day was 22 successes and only 6 accidents between the fabulous foursome...I am so proud of them!

Cameron is definitely my potty training super star! He catches himself just in time and says "uh-oh!" and runs for the potty. Tonight he was in the livingroom and we were in the kitchen and he came running with a trail behind him. He was crying and felt sooooo bad but it was his only accident of the day.

Aubrey only had one accident today too. She thinks the best way to potty train is by going commando! The girl is refusing underwear but wants her pants on. She was tring to hold it so when we notice her grabbing herself we had to remind her to go to the potty but by this evening we didn't have to remind her anymore.

Matthew loves sitting on his potty! He sat on it today probably as much as the other 3 did combined. He does a little dance when he needs to go and twice he was too late.

Brady also had two acccidents today. The first time he felt so bad and told us that he was naughty. We had to reassure him that he was not naughty and it was ok to have an accident.

Candy corn, lolly pops and stickers have been terrific bribes!

Potty Training Time!

I had all intentions of beginning potty training the fabulous foursome starting on Saturday however when I was getting all their underwear bins filled yesterday morning they all decided to strip their clothes and diaper to put on some of their new "unnnies". Well, rather than discouraging them I figured what the heck!

We started at 8:30 with 4 potty chairs on the ground and by 12:00 there had only been 2 accidents! YAY! I couldn't believe how well it was going. I stuck some diapers on them for nap, I know that they say no diapers but there is no way I am going to try and train 4 of them through sleeping when they always wake up soaked. I just don't have it in me right now.

Aubrey woke up from nap at 1:30 crying that she needed to pee. I was thrilled that I brought her and she actually went. BUT...it all went down hill from there! 58 pair of underwear from 1:30 until 6:00 and only a couple times did anyone pee on the potty however Matthew did poop on the potty...Yay Matty! Aubrey is definitely a candy driven girl. She would sit on her potty and go just a little so she could get a piece then do it all over again. Cameron is like a camel and hardly pees, in our out of the potty seat. Brady will start to go then run like heck to make it.

This morning I asked them "Who wants to wear undies?" and surprisingly they all said "ME!" After 35 wet underwear and a roll of paper towels I was happy to see diapers and naptime come! Let me tell you whoever wrote 3 day potty training method clearly did NOT attempt to train multiples. I feel like I can't catch someone peeing because I am still cleaning up the mess from the last accident. At least they are making the attempt and going on the potty sometimes! The kids are really loving the piece of candy (I am sure they are on a sugar high), the stickers and the potty dance so I am hoping that they take off over the weekend and we will have some potty trained kids!

Oh the DRAMA!!!!

I tend to be a fairly self sufficient, drama free person so I always wonder what I ever did to deserve such a drama filled daughter. Everything she wants she wants it now and get it herself??? NEVER!!! That is what her servents, I mean brothers, are for. She can turn on the tears at the drop of the hat and she knows how to work them. Her life just about ends anytime she cannot find her snuggy by that I mean if she stands there and cries "Where my suggggggiiiiieeeeeee goooooo?" while everyone else looks for it.

Her latest kick is when she has the littlest boo boo like her teeth hurt, the skin on her foot peels, or she breaks a nail she cries "I need go doctors". I thank God each an every day that I was only blessed with one little princess. She is so lucky that she is so cute and I love her so much! Just to show how cute she is check her out doing her ABC's...

Jump-O-Lene

I got a Jump-O-Lene on the deal of the day special at Walmart back in the spring and the kids loved playing in it until Huuricane Irene decided to strike and we deflated it and put it away. I never really thought about blowing back up until today. As soon as I had it blown up the kiddos were ripping their shoes off to get in a bounce around. I am definitely thinking we need to make it an indoor toy during the long winter we have ahead of us. We try to keep some of their toys for weekends only so when we are home on a yucky day they have something that seems new to them to do. As you can see they love playing in this!

We've been FLOCKED!

Nine years ago this summer there was so much uncertainty, would Ben make it through his treatments?  Would I be able to carry all four babi...
