Pretty boring week

Boring is sometimes good though! In this boring week we have had no sick babies and lots of sleep filled nights, including sleeping in every day until 6am or later! I am anxious to see how the nights go when we have to move the clocks ahead next weekend. When we turned them back last fall it didn't affect them one bit so I am hoping the same thing occurs turning them ahead.

I got in contact with Early Supports last week because I was concerned with Cameron losing words that he once was saying and grunting for everything. They were planning on coming out to do an evaluation when he decided to speak! He is saying all sorts of words now and even saying a couple 2 word sentances like "all gone" "all done" and "bath time". The other three have had a vocabulary explosion over the past week as well. I love to hear them talk in their cute little voices. They all sound so different!

We completed their 18 month ISQ's with their Bright Beginnings visitor and were very pleased to learn that they are pretty much on target with their actual age. The one big thing we need to work on is getting them to kick a ball. They have no interest in doing anything but picking the ball up and throwing it. I am so happy that they are all doing so well.

They had a sleepover with their cousin, Evan. He is so good with them even though he told me he can't wait until they learn to share toys better. They all love him so much. They got to have a visit with their other cousins, Kaden and Ella, as well and Matthew and Aubrey haven't stopped saying "Ellella" since Wednesday!

Today we were able to get out of the house and burn off some energy! We went to a play date at their friends, Kara and Addison's, house for a Pull Up Party. We got the potty dance video as a party favor that I hope to put to good use in the fall! After the party we took a little trip to Walmart then took the babies out to Applebee's for dinner. I am so proud of them for being able to go places like that and sit and eat a meal without causing a scene. We always get many compliments from other diner's on their behavior when we take them out.

Tomorrow the babies get to meet their newest cousin, Aidan! I am sure they are going to love him. They are all obsessed with babies right now.

Adventures at Chuck E Cheese

The six of us loaded up yesterday and went to see Lauryn perform in her dance competition in Concord. Cameron loved watching them dance and the others did too but they weren't as happy to just sit and watch the performances. Lauryn did a great job and earned two 1st place and 2nd place overall! We were so proud of her!

After the competition we headed south to Chuck E Cheese. The place was packed and the quaddlers did awesome waiting in line until it was our turn. We had a quick bite to eat then off to play for a couple hours. The time flew right by as they were having so much fun. Matthew decided that he was bored playing so he decided to pick a couple fights. Ben had to pry him away from one kid that he tackled to the ground while he was trying to kiss. Another time he pulled Matthew away from a kid that he had pinned in the corner trying to kiss. I can't wait for the day someone kicks his butt, he thinks he is so funny attacking his sister and brothers all the time! Brady spent much of his time flirting with some little girls and going on the slide. Aubrey and Cameron had a great time playing in the big climber with Emma and Lauryn.

I had a little amusement watching a singleton mom push gigantic stroller in that little play area with a huge purse on one shoulder, a humongous diaper bag on the other and trying to chase her toddler that was around the same age as the quads. We literally walked in there with us each holding the hands of two babies and a small backpack of gear.

The ride home was long. Ben and I were both exhausted and it was 7 pm before we headed out from our final stop. Luckily the babies all stayed asleep enough that we were able to change their diapers and put them into bed and for the second day in a row they stayed in bed until 6:30 am! That is sleeping in to us when we are used to them being up by 5:30. I am not counting on it but I would love if this trend kept up!

Ready for our road trip!

Speaking Quadanese!

Stealing the phase from a fellow quad momma, the babies have been having a ball talking to each other all the time even though I don't understand most of what they say to each other they obviously do because if one babbles the others know exactly what he or she wants and goes, gets it and brings it back to them.

Cameron is my least vocal and has even lost a lot of words the past month but he completely understands directions you give him or the other quads give him. Aubrey sits on the recliner, aka her throne, and Cameron caters to her every whim. Yesterday she asked for a blanket and Cameron brought her every single blanket he could find in the whole house!

The words I am able to translate from Quadanese are so cute to hear them say!

blanket = bankie or bankbet
thanks = danks
please = peas
kiss = mah
Brady = Bayde
Cameron = Cam or Keeemm
Aubrey = sees, sissy or Aubee
Matthew = Matt
slipper = sleeepah
up = bup or upa upa upa
cup = bup, cupa cupa or baba
Chuggington = chuggy
supper = suppy or suppa
garbage = gargage
yucky = ca ca
Mylee = Mymy
Makalyn = Kalyn or KK
Konner = Kakar
Tanner = Tann
Uncle = gunk
go to bed = go go
get out = gout
get in = gein
banana = nana
color = collah
snack = nack
bath time =dat time
naughty = nawnaw or nawie

The list could go on and on but I can't think of anymore right now. I will end this post with some pictures of brotherly/sisterly love...or rather Matthew trying to kiss everyone and them trying to get the heck away from him!

So sweet!

It melts my heart listening to the babies call each other by name! Matthew will say "sissy", "Baydy", and "Keemm", Brady says "sissy", "Matt", "Cam"., Cameron says "Sis" Aubrey says "Baydy" for all three boys...mostly "no Baydy!" I love it!

They are so smart! They are attempting to say many new words every day and try repeating us all the time. Sometimes two word sentances come out and it shocks me that they are big enough to do that! All four of them know the normal body parts like eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, tounge, cheek, hair, belly, butt, hands and feet. They love to hear us sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and try to sing along while doing the hand motions. I love watching them wash the "spiiiidur" out and listen to them giggle about it!

Imaginitive play is a big thing right now. They pretend to cook, drink and eat with their kitchen set. They dress up with the dress up toys and they like to hide things, especially their sippy cups, and bring them out when you least expect it...like after you have searched the entire house for the past hour. I am loving this age!

We've been FLOCKED!

Nine years ago this summer there was so much uncertainty, would Ben make it through his treatments?  Would I be able to carry all four babi...
