Playing Play-Doh
While shopping last weekend I picked up the kiddos a Play-doh set and took it out for them to play. To my surprise no one even attempted to eat it. They weren't really sure what to do with it! They used the shape cutters that came with kit and mostly threw the ball of Play-doh around on the table. I am sure that it will be more fun for them once they really figure it out but they loved it anyway!

Fun-day Sunday!
It was a beautiful day today so we thought we would take the quaddlers for a walk and to run off a little energy. We met up with their pal Noah and they all had a blast running around and playing in the leaves and with their balls. I hope this nice weather isn't a tease and that it is here to stay!

18 month Well Child Check
Today was the quaddlers well child check and it was so nice to be able to have them all walk into the office rather than trying to find a place to store the infant seats, stroller or choo choo wagon. Their pediatrician said they are above where they should be at 18 months as far as the things they are doing, knowing all their body parts, naming people and things, and their language skills. She was not at all concerned with Cameron having only a fraction of the words the others have especially since he has great comprehension skills. I was concerned about him not hearing well but she doesn't think that is an issue. We are going to keep an eye on him and try to make him use his words and see where he is in another couple of months.
They got the last shot they need before it is time for kindergarden which will make doctors visits much more pleasant from here out. It is so great to know they are all doing so well after being born 8 weeks early and keeping up with their full term peers!
Their stats at 18 months:
Matthew-
23 lbs 14 oz 25th percentile
32" long 50th percentile
19 1/8" head circumference 75th percentile
Brady-
28 lbs 15 oz 90th percentile
33.5" long 90th percentile
20" head circumference 95th percentile
Aubrey-
21 lbs 10th percentile
30.5" long 25th percentile
18 7/8 head circumference 90th percentile
Cameron-
24 lbs 15.5 oz 50th percentile
31 3/4" long 50th percentile
19 1/2" head circumference 90th percentile

What a day!
The morning started off much like every other morning until I started dressing the quaddlers for the day when I took Matthew's pajamas off and discovered him COVERED in a bumpy red rash! I of course freaked out because I had no idea what it was. I placed a call to the pediatrician's office and they got us an appointment a couple hours later. I explained to Matthew that he and Mommy would be going to the doctors to get his boo boo's checked out obviously he thought it was an emergency situation!
A short while later he was playing with the phone while I was feeding one of the babies and I asked a little girl from day care to take it from him and hang it up. Seconds later I got a call from dispatch stating that someone had called 911 from this number! I assured them that all was well and that one of my 1 year olds was playing with the phone and I did not realize that he called 911. They ended up sending an officer anyway and I was very embarrassed to have to tell them that Matthew called 911.
Thankfully his rash was not the emergency situation he thought it was and it ended up being hives. Now we get to make the nearly 2 hour round trip yet again tomorrow for the 18 month well child check for the monkeys!

Party time!
We got invited to celebrate another set of quads first birthday with them this weekend so we decided to make the 2.5 hour trip to go meet them and be there for their special day. The ride down was fairly good other than Brady thinking he should stay awake the majority of the ride so he was in a super good mood by the time we got there.
We arrived a little early so we thought we would let them run off some of their energy outside since it was such a beautiful day. What it turned into was them thinking they were big kids and could climb up and down the steps without railings and we ended up with some road rashed faces.
After we had enough of that we went inside and they proceeded to pop a bunch of balloons leaving glitter everywhere! They did however enjoy the popcorn and cotton candy that was part of the circus themed birthday party. Brady got to take a little time out with me outside because he was acting like a spoiled brat throwing fits at everyone and everything.
The birthday boys arrived and so did a PETTING ZOO!!! The quaddlers loved it! It was great to meet the fabulous foursome and their parents. The only thing that was missing was a group picture...next time for sure! I have to say it was one of the most fun parties we have ever been to. Happy Birthday Jackson, Henry, Harrison and Matthew!
We left a little early because our quad squad was more than ready for a nap and we had a long ride home. They were asleep before we left the parking lot. Made a stop at the mall looking for some red swim trunks for the boys with no success and then took them out to dinner at the Olive Garden. Dinner was awesome and the quaddlers were amazingly well behaved all seemed perfect until we reached Tilton and I realized I didn't leave enough money for the bill! Thankfully the manager was awesome and let me put the balance and tip on my debit card.
The trip home was a complete disaster! Brady cried the whole time we were in BJ's and then the first 20 minutes of the ride home. As soon as he settled down the other two boys decided to take their turn being miserable and cried until I climbed into the back of the van to sit with them. If any of you have ever put two rear facing car seats in the back of a minivan and tried sitting in between them you will be able to imagine what a comfortable ride that was!

Little Savers
All throughout the month I put all my change in a small bank in the kitchen and Ben contributes to it sometimes as well. At the end of the month I have some of the older day care kids sort it and make sure it is divided into four equal portions. It gives them some practice in math and it saves me from having to do it! After the money is sorted the babies each get a bowl of money to put into their individual piggy banks and they LOVE doing it! As soon as they see their banks they start yelling "PIG PIG!" Hopefully they will stay interested in saving money as they grow!

Matthew made a mess but finally got all his money in!

Brady so excited to put his money in!

Aubrey loves to put her money in her bank!

Cameron was deciding if he wanted to put it in or keep it out!
